Holme-On-Spalding-Moor Bowls Club

The Club was founded in 1939 and provides bowling opportunities for the local community all year round.  We are pleased to offer a variety of options from social bowling and friendly Internal competitions, together with an opportunity to represent the club and compete in a selection of league matches.

From April to September our members enjoy lawn bowls at our green, which is situated just behind the car park to the Blacksmiths Arms.  During the autumn/winter season from October to March, short mat bowls is played in the village hall.

During the summer months roll ups take place on the green on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 5pm.  Members can also practice daily on their own or with other bowlers, usually after 11am to allow for ground maintenance.  Roll ups during the indoor season are on Sundays 2pm – 4pm and when we have home league fixtures taking place – currently on various Thursdays throughout the season.  These roll ups bring a social side to the game and allow practice for both new and current members.

The club welcomes a mix of varying age groups, and we would be pleased to organise ‘taster sessions’ for small groups, so you can come along with a few colleagues or friends to give it a try.

Bowls can be provided; you just need to bring a spare pair of flat shoes or trainers.
